04 S55 resonator delete?

I am kind of being lazy here but, are there any sound clips of these modified exhausts from the inside? Coming from cheaper vehicles with tons of mods I love the sound of an exhaust note. However, being older and getting into the more comfortable luxury stage, I don't want to have any drone or annoying exhaust noise on the inside. Thanks in advance.

Cut the resonators out a couple of weeks ago. Car sounds so much more agressive...outside the car that is. I do get a little drone which isn't that bad considering how loud it is outside the car. I'm surprised that it got that loud. Anyhow, I also noticed that the factory resonators say Sebring on it. Nice. I assume that Sebring manufactures the whole exhaust than...but, I can not say.

LOL. Definitely. There are a few times where I unintentionally leave the door open when I start the vehicle and I kind of smile. Maybe I leave it open instinctively because I know it makes me smile.
Thanks for the advice on the resonators!

So I'm going in to get this done pretty soon. Do I just go to shops in my area and ask one to remove my resonator? That's it? They know exactly what to do? Can someone tell me the process and what exactly I am asking them to do. Sorry, I am new to all this.

If they are a good shop, once the car is up, they should know what a resonator is. I noticed that on mine that one side is a little tricky because the pipes are off center but, if they cut the angles properly you should have no problems. When I did mine, I knew they were a good shop and I just basically told them I want to cut out my resonators. They knew what I wanted and knew what to do.

In theory, it should be totally fine. Resonators don't affect smog. But, I guess depending on where you go, they may be straight as an arrow type of place. Most wont bother with a simple mod like that.

from the sound clips everyone is providing they all sound different and some sound meaner then others that claim to only have the resonators deleted. Ill post some pics of what i had did with a youtube video tomorrow.

Here is a video of my s55 that was recorded last year. At the time it was full stock, except for the resonators which were replaced with straight pipes, I believe they were 2.75 or 3 inch piping.

MBWorld Fanatic!
My 211 E-55 has the X-Pipe with resonators deleted.
Sound at wide open throttle is a little over the top but brings a smile. We live in farm country and she can hear that I'm being a savage from a mile off.
Love the sound when first started as electronics change ignition timing to get cats up to temperature faster.
Love the sound at 140... Not intrusive but no missing there is a nasty bent-eight at work.
Don't like feeling it inside a building if left to idle.
