Yea I've pretty much ruled out an S55. Unless its already tuned which I have yet to see from a dealer. Oh and the dealer with the S600 quoted me 1400 to ship both cars fom 500 miles away, and that with meeting him. So guess that's a no...back to square one

Motor mounts on these cars go. For the V12TT the motor has to be pulled out to change them. The V8 does not.
As soon as you get one do an ABC flush with a rodeo as soon as possible. Don't risk of having unknown fluid in there because you never know when it was last changed. I've driven 60,000 miles with no ABC problems, and 2 flushes so far.

Humm. Im not seeing feeling the same things as Sgt. Schultz but my 2003 S55 is tweaked alot. Agree, your going to need some $$ to maintain this car with the ABC system.
If you can afford a MBenz extended warranty I would buy one.

Yea, I was already thinking about having a flush done if/when I bought one. I've seen you guys use the term "Rodeo" before, but haven't figured out what it means. Can someone please enlighten me?

Well, I', starting to think the only way to get a S55 to be any "fun" is to have it highly tuned

Rodeo'ing is when the MB diagnostic system makes the care articulate on its suspension, bouncing up and down on each corner to get air out of the system.

I can help you with transport, lemme know the to and from zip codes via email and I can get you quotes.

The 600 is more to get a warranty for, and more difficult, because it costs more to repair long-term. I think you get more for your money, as an S600 can be even less than a comporable S55 due to the reliability concerns. If you have it within your budget to get a warranty, do it.
