Stardiagnostic lowering question
What's up everyone,
I need to know something about some type of lowering system what my car has but i don't know how it's been done, because if bought she like this already!!
My car is a 2002 W220 S55 AMG,
It's been lowered with Lowering Links but it was programmed that after i turn off the engine it needs about 5 min and the car went lower to about 1/2' more the the normall lowered position she had...it looks very nice and sits on the alloys very nice...She went to her normall position after 7/10 seconds when i turn the engine back on..
I've brought she many times to Mb i though maybe there is a failure from the ABC suspension system or something but nothing, they checked my car on every tube, leak compressor and all...no error found but the guy from Mb coulden't tell me what's been done to my car that she goes lower after 5 min!! he only thinks, the ABC (through stardiagnostic) was programmed like this!!
If someone has the same setup or same symtoms please let me know how it's been done and where they do such work!?!
Would be very cool!
Thx alot.
I'm putting some pic on how she looked when she was lower after i turn the engine off and one pic on her normall lowered position!
Here she is lower after the engine is off

Nah, no problmems at all...but before putting some links check you suspension system if all it's alrights....if so then yor fine.
I bought my self a second S55 but a black one this time and i slammed she down too with Links. no problems!
After putting links do a aligment of the wheels and your fine

My alignment guy brought the toe-in a bit tighter to stop the wear on the inside of the tires after I lowered it. You might want to keep an eye on it and if your is wearing on the inside on the fronts then have it adjusted.

http://www.lowermyride.co.uk/ is where I got mine - free shipping to the USA.
Time wise, a couple of hours. You may have to remove the front wheels to be able to pry off the old links. The new links pop-on and pop-on easier and can be reached by hand for final adjustments. The relationship of lowering the car to the length of the adjustable links is provided by the supplier of the new links. Make sure you measure accurately since one difference in thread turn between each side of the car will show a difference in ride height.
Also be mindful in the back. The height lever can rotate freely beyond 180 degs when the link is removed and its possible to attach the new rear link with the lever 180 degrees out and will elevate your car in the rear to max height and cause a ABC Visit Workshop message on the dash. (don't ask me how I know).
Also be careful taking off the old links, as not to break the plastic lever arms, they flex but and feel like they could snap off if you are not careful. Soak the little ball joints on each end of the original links in penetrating fluid to help get them off.

Your valve blocks are leaking. The pressure is leaking out internally and when you start the car the pressure is building back up. A rodeo should be attempted first to clear the valve of any debris, otherwise at somepoint you will need to replace them.
