Pictures would help...your description alone really confuses me about the car in general. For instance, your definition of small might be bigger than mine.

Maybe someone had to replace the rotors (they used to warp) and went cheap with non OEM parts.
When in doubt, take it to MB dealer for inspection.

And what about it's voice

I tried to listen to the car that you were describing after I read your post but I could hear anything. I tried to imagine the car with small rotors and I still couldnt picture it accurately, even with your great description.
I am thinking the easiest thing to do would be take pictures of the engine, rotors and entire car so we can see what you are talking about. Then we could help you out.

Hi - I just saw your post.
One of the major caveats of ///AMG cars is that most of them, arent. From what you describe, it really sounds like this one is not a genuine, proper, ///AMG. In the Middle East, it is quite common to find common models which are altered to look like the ///AMG.
The small rotors are the big tip off. The brakes in front should be massive, 15" rotors with 6-pot calipers, and in the back, 13" with 4-pots, I believe. It should completely fill the 19" wheels with not enough space to fit your fingers.
Does this car have the V12 under hood? It is possible that it's an S600, which has the 5.5L and not the 6.0. Additionally, it may not have the correct exhaust installed, hence the different sound. 600s have silencers (sometimes called "suitcase") which is installed under the car to further silence the noise.
If the car looks like an ///AMG, then I suspect it'll have the ///AMG body kit installed. This is something some folks like to do.
To further test:
* Genuine S65s will have the motor stamped with a plaque showing the name of the man who built the motor.
* S65s will typically have all options, including night-view assist and adaptive distronic
* S65s may sometimes have the unique pleated leather interior treatment
* Early 2007 models have seats with unique head-restraints which tilt forward. This was done for the first batch of W221 and by November of 2007, they were all switched over to the later, fixed design.
While not guaranteed, I'd really look to these signs to better determine if this car is genuine.

My car speaks to me in it's voice, loudly. No calm included when you buy an AMG.
