2002 S55 ABC
Hi guys,
I have found a 2002 S55 with only 30k miles, texas car. It intrigues me as the pre-facelift W220 has been my favorite car looks wise, but the only thing scaring me is ABC
Is it possible that routine flushing and maintenance of the ABC system can prevent having to deal with the several thousands of dollars in replacements that many people incur when owning this vehicle?
What exactly causes this ABC fluid to get so dirty, and how long is recommended until the next flush/rodeo treatment?
What can I do to prevent issues? It would not be my primary car, but I still want it to be reliable.

I have a 2005 S55 and flushed the fluid this year...57K miles..i think the main thing that makes the fluid dirty is time...mine was dark green but has never been abused, leaked, or had the first ABC light on...I just did it due to it being 7 years old...i think it may pull moisture like brake fluid...but dont know that for a fact...regular maintenance is my rule...change the filter twice too during the flush..it filters the fluid as it pulls it through the system...DIY will cost you about $300 in filters and fluid...get the filters on EBAY.
