Supercharger Oil Change
Is it necessary to change the supercharger oil and if so how do we go about doing the oil change?

great post!
Do you know what the torque spec of the drain/seal plug is?
About how much oil did you extract/ replace?
What mile/age was your car?
NB: I looked into it and was advised to use the Mobil Jet II oil you used and not the 254. They have some different characteristics.

This is a good video! Only change I would suggest is to refill the s/c reservoir until the Mobil Jet II oil just starts to overflow out of the fill hole. Same concept as refilling a differential. When I changed the s/c oil for the first time (~70k miles), I was able to remove very little fluid, even moving the syringe tube around with the s/c. But the reservoir accepted far more.

I ahven't done mine yet, but I need to. Looks like a straight forward service. Just like MB-Dude said. Fill it like a differential, till it over flows a little bit. I would use some lock-tite on the s/c hex nut. Just to make sure it doesn't come out. Not sure on the torque specs, but snug is always good.

After a successful engine oil change on my G500 with my Mityvac I am ready to hook up the sucker!
And get a syringe from the vet.

Great review on the SC fluid change with the youtube video. I did one for the STR Jag's SC fluid change on their forum. I just recently bought a s55 and was wondering where did you source out those specific led fog lights on the bottom fender? Those look really tight!

Tech evaluation
His advice was NOT to change the oil on the S/C at this time (50k miles/ 7 years). He said I am running it at about 10-15% of the stress loads it is designed to take. However, if I was drag racing it on a regular basis, he would recommend a more frequent change interval.

Grane - Refer to my 3/3/13 post. My s/c had very little oil in the reservoir; about a tablespoon, maybe two. I'm sure the MB s/c is under utilized, but since there is no way of telling lubricant level in the s/c, other than this method, changing the fluid wouldn't be a bad thing. I acknowledge his s/c experience thinking the oil doesn't need to changed, but my experience is the oil comes out heavily loaded with crud and of less volume. IMHO

OP have complained about the smell of used s/c oil. When I had my Racing Brakes (fantastic product) installed on my CL, the tech used a special synthetic (blue) lubricant on the wheel hubs etc. as recommended after fully cleaning them. It smelled like cat **** right out of the jar!
