It's time... I need to find my S55 a new home.
) and I need more room. Anyone know a kind soul deserving of what might possibly be the best-maintained S55 around? (East Coast, 20148 zip)I will be posting an add in the marketplace forum in the next day or two, as soon as I stop crying.
Only 73,000 miles, $15K in Fidelity Platinum-paid repairs in the last year, including ABC pump, 1 headlight and two tail light housings, all door locks and trunk lock, secondary air injector (wtf? LOL) and brand-spanking-new Bridgestones all the way around. More complete list will be provided if I missed anything here. Half the work was done at Tyson's Corner Mercedes, the other half at Sterling Star, where it is probably known as "the S55".
Never raced, tracked, or even tuned. It's totally stock except for the bluetooth "puck with tail" which works great with my Droid X2
I even have a spare cup holder.
Reasonably expecting $20K, but not unreasonably closed-minded, and very determined to show the dealer in Chantilly that $12,500 is insulting and a waste of my time.
Thanks for helping me find a new owner that will appreciate how great these cars are.
Dammit, I'm crying again...

My sense of fiscal responsibility, which completely abandoned me when I bought the S55, tells me to get a Traverse, biggest value for the buck.
My wife already has an Escalade, so I don't need to go super huge.
why can't I stop crying??? LOL
2) Terrible usability with X5 versus the Traverse, specifically access to 3rd row, size of 3rd row, and cargo area.
From Edmunds review of 2009 X5: "munchkin-sized third-row seat"
3) we should kick you out of here for suggesting BMW. Shame on you!

I did drive and very much liked a 2007 GL450, but it also lacks in the same areas although not as drastically. I would also have to buy a couple of years older and a couple 10K of miles higher to match a Traverse in price, both of which are undesirable.
I very much appreciate your input and am open to suggestions. Thanks.
Sorry for the formatting, I copied and pasted from MMR.

And no thanks on the minivan, we've had three and I've hated them all. They are only good for going straight.
I appreciate the well wishes, I may need the luck.

You could always opt for a CTS-V wagon too if you are looking for something on the same performance level as the S55.
