Only problem its 8mm in length you need 10mm. Unless you apply some Blue Threadlock on it and then it will work. Did you try using a magnetic stick down there and just trying your luck to get it to catch on it? YOu may just wind up waiting till MOnday till the Merc dealer opens up to inquire if they have it or may just have to special order it.
HOpe you find a plug soon.

Iv tried magnets, air-force, sticks, rocking the car . . . everything. Bu came out with nothing. A good guess would be that its either wedged under the oil filter housing or has gone under the supercharger itself. Either way, a lot of stripping down is required and im not too sure i want to do that.
Now looking for some kind of alternatives to be honest. The closest iv had have been either an M8, which seems about 1mm too small or another imperial one which seems to be about 0.5mm too big. I could probably get the big one in there but once it does, it aint coming back out again, and then thats a new set of problems if it fails.
Another member in the E55 section measured one and it came back 3/8 inch.
Im not very good with measurements or conversions from imperial to metric im afraid.
But only if your Supercharger is SPARE, and you really dont mind, then im looking forward to this???

According to atleast one member on here, Shardul, he also lost this screw but as his supercharger was also off the car he took it to a hardware store and bought a replacement that fitted. So there is hope, unfortunately though, my superchargers still stuck to the car.
But i do appreciate your help, more so than i could put in words here.
Let me know what you find and il send you the appropriate info.
Cheers,
Jeff
But thanks again mate. Im going to wait and see what Blackbenzz can find and if no luck then im taking these measurements to an engineering firm to see if they can knock something up.
Regular threads on M10 nuts are either 1.5 or at best 1.25. These are a little unique in that sense that its only a 1.0 pitch. I was told this is because of the pressures these nuts have to take, which i can only assume will be high in that supercharger, especially with all that heat.
But MANY MANY thanks to all who have helped, without your information and guidance i would have been completely and utterly lost.
A special thanks to Blackbenzz for running around trying to get the exact match, i know that could not have been easy. If theres anything i can help you with in the future then please let me know.
Thanks chaps.

I took out about 50ml to replace it with about 150ml, so it was running way too low anyway.
On a side note, i was looking at some of the previous paperwork on this car and the supercharger has been replaced by Mercedes themselves after the car was about 4 years old. Doesnt say why it was replaced by it might have been the lack of oil in it, as after another 4 years the oil was low again.
I did see this on how to change fluid which I never even knew existed.
First post so if I am not allowed to post video I apologize.
Cheers,
Jeff
The only correct way I know to fill to the correct level would be to remove the charger, drain it vertically and then install the correct amount. (sorry I dont recall how much that is).
