Brake disc question

Hi I bought this pair of ferodo disc for my s55k but if I look at the pic they are in the same side I mean loking at the pic when you put on the discs booth arw with drilled in different sidest. Then one will take off heat and the other will keep and earn heat
Is it normal? They shold be in the same direction not?

I'm not sure about the rotors that you bought. But I know that the original rotors that AMG made for the S 55 has the same orientation.

If you want them to be directional, you might have to resort to 2pc rotors like Racing Brake's or the company that makes Evosport's 2pc rotors.

As far as I know the only AMG rotors that they make directional are 2pc rotors for the E63 and the 65 AMG's. I believe those are expensive and you might have to modify your caliper mounts to fit the 65's in our 55's. I'm not really sure if they are a direct fit.

I'm not quite sure why Mercedes designed their rotors like this. Maybe as a cost cutting measure? Hopefully someone in here can chime in.

In reality, the holes do not do much on a street driven large 4 door sedan that is not road raced, so if they look good, you like the price, then would not worry about hole orientation. I went with custom 2 pc rotors with slots on mine, as the holes were always cloged up anyway.
