Just posted this in w220 forum today

Anthony when a vehicle with abc suspension drops it can also be the valve blocks . These metal blocks have solenoids on them with hydraulic fluid passing through . Any dirt or contamination can cause leaking valve block . The solenoids have o rings which can also deteriorate over time. Theres a YouTube video on cleaning the valve and replacing o rings. Then you will see what I'm talking about . No sense in replacing struts if that's not the problem ,abc parts can be very expensive . Arnott is a great replacement probably better than oem. First be sure what the problem is be4 you start throwing parts . Goodluck , Gill

Yes you must change o rings if your servicing the valve block. Best thing to do is take o rings to local hydraulic shop and get exact sizes from them.MB does not sell o ring kit , they replace the valve block . Goodluck

Similiar thing used to happen to my 04 S55 aswell, rear right corner used to drop after a few hours of being left switched off.

A few places diagnosed the rear strut and i was about ready to replace it when i too was told about the valve blocks.

Cleaned the rear valve block and 4 months later, still no sagging.

You can jack the car up off the wheels and let the wheels hang for 20-30 min. Then when u crack the first line you will relieve the rest of the pressure.

I went to the dealer this morning to buy fluid and he told me that is 2 valve block on my car .One in the font and one in the rear Same part number but there's 2 of them .Where is the rear located ? and is the rear for the rear suspension and the front valve for the front struts ? My car drops in the rear. I think I have to fix the rear one ?
thanks

Yes, there are 2 valve blocks, one for the front struts and one for the rear struts.

One American cars - front valve block is sat right behind the bumper pretty much in the middle. Rear valve block is just in front of the rear drivers side wheel, pretty much right underneath the rear seat. You have to remove a plastic cover to gain access to it, im pretty sure this is also the same cover you have to remove to gain access to the fuel filter if you know where that is.

Each valve block should have 4 or 5 pipes going to it and also a cannon ball looking dome attached to it. The dome on the front valve block should be bigger than the dome on the rear valve block.

I need help!
My 06 S65 tends to drop on the right drivers side when switched off for a day or so, maybe less. Can someone give me a step by step process of what I should do? Im not doing anything myself.

Your rear valve block needs to be cleaned or changed. Look at my post just above yours.

Im not 100% sure when, but i know there was a change in the design for the later ABC cars, so your only option might be to change it completely, expect a big bill if thats the case.

But before you do any of that i would get it to someone who can read the error code on it.

You can take it to Mercedes to have the error codes read or have the valve block replaced. They will not clean the old one, only replace with a new one.

IF yours can be cleaned, then all you need to do is remove it, clean everything thoroughly with brake cleaner and replace any of the o-rings you can see (although i did not replace the o-rings on mine) and then just replace.
