I've got about one month ago. Impressions are mixed. Fantastic suspension, good design, 4-wheel drive works (but better to have a winter tires also). Distronic Plus is a good option also. I didn't tested seriously auto parking and night vision yet. 3D audio is very good (but not fantastic). Very good traction in a sharp curves. It needs to push hard on acceleration pedal and Your foot is tired even after not very long drive. You don't feel a power, the car seems lazy (Jaguar XJ was much sharper). Fuel tank capacity not enough because the real consumption is bigger about 30% than announced. Wipers have not enough performance in a very strong shower. Very difficult for maneuvers especially during rear driving uphill. And the biggest shame - the inner sides of front seats are made from simple cloth and not a leather. For such a car it looks like cheating.

thank you so much for a detailed review. i find it very odd that AMG does things like this, the leather thing would bother me, especially since the car is 150k +. I think they shouldve put more hp in the car, like they did in previous S63 over the E63/CLS63. They put leather in my dash on my E63 and my whole seat is leather, along with the rear seats. There is no reason why an S class that 50k more than the E63 shouldnt have stuff like this. But yes snows are a must, i have sotto zero's on mine and love them, so its a no brainer for any AMG with the fixed 33/67 tq split. My dad was considering getting an S63 and possibly get rid of his bentley, but it would be nice to drive one before making that switch. Thank you again for your review, nice to hear some real life feedback and impressions!

Interesting review though I would say that the 4matic on the S63 may feel slower while being much faster though, so that can be deceiving.

Re. the Bentley, I just saw a comparo of the S63 beating the new Bentley Flying Spur. Here is a link from the German Auto Bild, a mag normally known as somewhat anti-MB (in German, sorry):

Re. the fabric patch, I have the same in our SL; a small strip underneath the seat belt on the side of the seat back. This is definitely not done to save any money though, I was told it has to do dynamic seat functions.

Probably feeling of 4matic is not the same as rear drive. But when I tested Audi S8 the acceleration feeling was excellent! Concerning dynamic seat functions - other produces have it also but with a whole leather seat! To be honest I forgot to mention the LED interior illumination - it is fabulous! Air fragrance is also good but they offer just one type with the car. If You need other three You should pay extra (Also dealer advised to use Your own perfume!). And air filters/ionization are good - it is very clean air inside the car.

I've seen a couple on the streets already and they look fantastic. I'm a little disappointed with what i'm hearing, as this might be a great replacement for my C63 sedan.

How does the interior feel?

My CLS63 feels amazing with the plethora of leather, dash, doors etc.

I have no complains about interior (my wife's favorite is a very big navigation screen). Just a small inconvenience for me - the installation of 3D audio eliminated the sun glasses compartment near rear mirror. Also it is a little bit strange that the car has no fog lights. Maybe the main lights adjust their light in a fog conditions. Also very convenient help with some video instructions. My interior is a regular nappa (I didn't have a time to order exclusive nappa)

i need to drive one, ive only seen one in pittsburgh which was sold sadly. I think they needed to put more hp in this car, i think many are wanting it to have the similar 0-60 to the E63/CLS63, but thats hard when it has the same amount of hp and weighs more, granted it has more tq but i dont think thats enough. thanks again for your feedback!
