Rear wheels wobbling?

Just got new wheels put on and lowered the car.. So I did what anyone would do and got the new wheels balanced, and after it was lowered, got an alignment. In addition to the new wheels I put a 12MM spacer with longer bolts on the rear to get the look I wanted. I figured getting the alignment would solve the wobbling new wheels because I just figured that was because it was lower. However after the alignment the rear wheels still didn't seem to change that much as far as how much they were wobbling around, like one side was tighter than the other in the when screwed on even though I doubt that could be it because it was done by professionals with a torque wrench and the wheels have been on and off a few times now.. so I drove it around for a da because the vibrations were very subtle and it didn't strike me as a huge problem. But today I was driving more aggressively and eventually the vibrations from the rear became somewhat intense at around 40MPH and the rear wheels were still visibly wobbling.

So I realized quickly after that that I should get it to the shop as fast as I could. Originally thinking it would need another alignment because maybe they had done something wrong the first time. But then the guy called me and said that the vibrations could have been because of the wheel bolts (that the spacers came with, replacing the stock ones) being too long. But he rebalanced the tires saying two were off and sent me off with that...

Only problem is my wheels are stilling wobbling, and I don't want to drive it around if its going to cause damage, even if the vibrations aren't bad right now. And I just have a hard time understanding how wheels bolts that were supposed to be used with the spacers are causing the wheels to wobble as much as they are (I'd say 1/4 inch)

Does this make sense to you guys and do you think the fix is as simple as replacing the bolts? Just nervous there's not something bigger going on that's going to cost me a lot of $ like a bent axle or something like that.

Please let me know what you think

Your new wheels need "centering rings" in them. This ring seats the wheel properly on the hub, and is required on almost all aftermarket wheels for MB products. The stock wheels have the rings built in.

Yea, this was part of the problem, as well as the bolts being too long. Luckily wasnt anything serious and I got it figured out today

^ Exactly right, they are called Hub Centric Rings
