Has anyone recently sold an S55?
Hey guys
Well it seems as though I am getting the itch. I feel I really need a V12TT. No exceptions, period.
I had planned on keeping my 2003 S55 forever but it seems silly to keep a W220 S55 and a W220 S65. I will keep the S65 forever instead. I know the cars are very similar and I might even get the same color but it just seems like a better idea to keep the W220 S65 as part of a collection for me.
So that being said anyone around here sold a S55 recently?
My 2003 S55 has nearly every single option available literally and has about 123,000 miles on her. I have serviced this car myself for the past 5 years exclusively. It is a very healthy car.
I know they aren't "worth" much but I need to get a game plan together to sell this to the wife. I will also probably also sell our 2000 XJR since that car doesn't get used at all and may help with the sales pitch to the boss.
Before anyone starts saying I'm crazy to not move up to the W221 S65 that will be the second step of my plan in due time. My gut is just telling me to get myself a W220 now. I think I am getting old but my life plan is to collect beautiful cars for pleasure.

Do your research on ebay and autotrader to come up with and average, then speak with your wife and throw in anotehr 10K to upgrade to the S65
