S55 AMG information

Can anyone tell me some information about the number of S55's produced per year, or how many were sold recently etc. I would just like to know how rare it is, especially in the UK.

I have searched the web and can only find that there were 2000 units of S55s and CL55s sold in the year 2000.

those numbers probably won't change too much from year to year... so,i'm sure you can use that number to gauge how rare the S55 is
