Picked up 2002 S55 two weeks ago. Awesome ride. Looked hard at 745li. Liked the feel of S55. The 745's little silver shifter may be new idea but doesn't compare to the feel of console stick. Maybe its a generation thing. Critics of COMAND in MB exaggerate it being non-user friendly. One two hour drive is all it took to reasonably master the tri-dundent system. I've heard differnent numbers on how many S-55's were produced and how many are in the states. Anybody got the straight scoop? Harry from Soprano country.
