Has anyone tried putting the 21" SUV AMG wheels on an S55? I would love to put bigger wheels on an S55 but not sure of compatibility or issues that I would run into. I'm also not sure if the 21" is a bit overkill on size. I like the 19" and 20" but would love to upgrade without having to spend an arm/leg.
I run 20" ML63 wheels on my W220 S600, and in many ways they're a great fit. There's just as much space for wide tyres at the front as there is at the rear, and having wide front tyres (like 265 or 275 instead of 245 or 255) does wonders for the handling.
However, ML wheels are HEAVY, and that and the shallow sidewalls ruins the ride quality. I'm thinking of taking mine off and dropping down to 19's.
