W221 ac not working
Hi guys, I hope you can point me...
Ac stopped, so fist thing was to check if the car needs topping up gas.... well, no.. pressure was fine.
Next thing - took it to a local official dealer which diagnosed it with faulty compressor and offered 1500 EUR for replacement.. Well, I replaced the compressor at a friend's workshop at much much lower cost, but the AC did not start even with the new compressor. After replacement, car showed AC off, so with his diagnostic software (not start) he managed to erase the "low pressure errors and supposable reset it, but it did not start again..
Next idea is pressure switch , but we could not find it.. Can you point me to where the pressure sensor/switch is, so we can replace.. (we searched for the drier to replace with the compressor - requirement for the compressor warranty, but could not find it on the car either - we have the new part.. a long cylinder ..but where should it go?!).
Any ideas, reset procedure from the car itself? It should have pressure sensor, but from the compressor lines go forward to the evaporator and into the cabin..
I would hate to go to the official dealer again as they are often only interested in overcharging..
Thx in advance..

I just had an issue with my AC this past week and it was the valve that is by the firewall below the wiper motors.. the dealer told me that it showed i had high pressure in the low pressure line and that cause the compressor to turn off

It's worth giving it a try as the difference in many of the components between the W220 and W221 are minimal at best.
I had a problem with the a/c not working as the controls would show that it was on but nothing was coming out of the vents. Banged the underside of the dashboard beneath the glovebox a couple of times and it started working. Had a bad blower motor.
