ECU Tuning Options
Hello fello AMG enthusiasts! Im finally ready to pull the trigger on upgrading my ECU on my W220 S65. I am getting used to the speed and it is starting to feel "slow". The car is in perfect working order so its no the car (ie I/C pump failure, etc). I just think its time to upgrade. For all those that have a W220 or W221 with the M275 motor in it, please let me know what you like or dont like about whoever you used to tune your car.
I can get an ECU tune from Renntech for about $2K but Im also interested in the special that Eurocharged currently has with Tune and Tuner combo for $1K! So please vote on which tune you like the best and any pro and cons. Thanks guys!!!

IMHO, have a phone conversation with Jerry @ Eurocharged and get the details from him about the benefits of his tune/s. Free reflashes, lower upfront cost, high HP/TQ gains are what did it for me.
No doubt Renntech does great things, but for me, with gain figures being relatively similar between the top companies, the tune purchase also becomes about the additional features(ie free reflashes and lower cost).
P.S. Jerry's customer service is fantastic.

Jerry at eurocharged tuned my w220 65 and it made some nasty power......600rwhp /845rwtq. It's still faster than my eurocharged 221 65.....I raced the new owner of my 220 and he sucked he paint off my car. Jerry is still working on my 221 and we hope to have it dialed in shortly......right Jerry? . His tune on the 220 is unreal, I can assure you of that.

Well it looks like Jerry at Eurocharged is the way to go. I emailed him already to see if he is willing to fly out to San Diego to tune my car. He said he is going to see if there is some more interest as far as people wanting to have him tune their car. I am renting out the Dyno from my buddy so when he tunes the car, we will have real numbers and show improvements as he continues to tune. I am waiting to hear back from Jerry@

Jerry recommends if it's in your budget to change out the HE (heat exchanger) and vaccum bleed the IC system after.
Any recommendation if it's an easy DIYer or recommend a shop in Southern California to do it?
I want to take care of it before he flys out..

I still need to figure out if I should do the Heat Exchanger first before the tune, or just go with the tune and do the HE later. Any recommendations anyone?
Not sure what brand or size Jerry's recommended HE is? Also not sure if the HE is the same for both CL65 and SL65..

I'd like to get a re-tune with my new mods and get the TCU tune done as well. I've been trying to get a remote tune set up to no avail, so +1 on the bay area tuning day. I know there are probably quite a few people here that would like retunes and "new" TCU tunes.
