Posers - Fake S55's
On the way to work today I saw a sick sight...
A silver S55 Kompressor... At least it said S55 with the AMG emblem. Had the V8 Kompressor badges on each side.
Had 2004 tail lights.
HOWEVER, the exhaust was only a dual setup and the wheels were old monoblock types.
The front bumper was a 2001 - 2002 sport bumper.
Can you say POSER.

it pisses me off when people do that. Especially the obvious ones. I saw a "S600" once. Way over badged, but the dumbass was missing the V12 trim on the sides of the car. Had V12 on the pillar just after the back door though, and made sure to note that it was and "AMG" on the back also. Grrr also didnt have xenons lol.

2002 E55 AMG
I decided to walk to the video store and guess what i saw? A completly stock W210 E320 that has an AMG badge on the trunk! Really stupid! Put some AMG mods on it and a kit and then you can put an AMG badge on it in my opinion.

A bucket on wheels
i hate the little posers who have a 320 and either put an amg emblem on or change the 320 to a 500. thats so sad that they think they can get away with it. On the other hand though, i love it when people have like an E55 amg and debadge it for that clean look. They may also fool some people that can't tell the difference.

yeah.. you see some mercedes every now and then trying to act like an amg...
but I think the real posers are the one's with porsche's.
Sooooo many times I have pulled up next to a 911 C2 with a turbo emblem on the back, lol that is a funny sight.

Am I a poser?
I've got an S430 that I debadged, but put an AMG badge on it, car has 19" AMG (215) staggered wheels on. I'm replacing the conservative '01 AMG bumpers and side skirts with a Lorinser DTM kit now- think I should rebadge it Lorinser? Some folks might presume that's a car dealer's name, and I am not planning on changing wheels (nothing else impresses, except maybe the Brabus VI 2pc.).
BTW, we were an AMG North America vendor before MB brought them in-house; that was the real AMG

Maybe there should be a different badge for those with AMG bodykits vs. AMG tuning. Have you debadged your S55? Don't think the folks in Affalterbach tuned your engine to drive on the wrong side of the road. Or maybe you should move the AMG emblem on the left side of the trunk...
