DTR... You Strange Thing
Hi everyone, hope you guys are doing well
I'm having a strange issue with my S55 AMG
The car is equiped with Distronic but strangely nothing is visible to me in the instrument cluster as I dont have that menu at all, also the cruise control stick shows no functionality and even the tiny LED indicator on the distronic buzzer does not light up with the rest of buttons when i turn on the switch, technically the only fault that i see via diagnosis is that there "was" a stored error in the communication
with N74-5, the ESP ABS and BAS work perfectly fine and there is nothing abnormal about it except that i dont have the distronic grill
any ideas or has anyone gone through this before ?

If you dont have the flat black plastic "rectangle" on the front grill I dont know how you have Distronic, the sensor (round apparatus) behind the grill needs to "see" through the grill rectangle to function correctly. Is it possible somebody changed the grill??

thanks for the reply, I know the grill must be for the distronic equiped cars yes it was changed due to an accident, but that should have not prevented the whole system to deactivate at once, not even the button LED turning on !
