Yes, the VIN ended in 427. That's my old car, a 2006 S65 AMG.
I sold it to a guy here in Ft. Worth, Texas. It looks like you're in Southern California. Is that correct? How did the car make it all the way out there?

I have all kinds of information on the car if you are interested, repairs done, special quirks about the car, ownership history (I bought it from the son of the original owner). Send me a private message and I'll give you my email, or you can give me your email there.

I find it ironic that in the background of one of the photos is the street sign, "Dead End". I had my 2006 S65 from October, 2016 to March, 2020. It had 72,000 miles when I got it and 95,000 when I sold it. I bought it from the son of the original owner. During the time I had it, it cost right at $25,000 in repairs and maintenance to keep it on the road. ($21,000 was paid for by an extended warranty). Most of the work was done at the dealer. I sold the car about a year after the warranty expired. I couldn't abide spending over a $1.00 per mile (i.e., $10,000 every 10,000 miles) out of my own pocket to keep the car on the road. If I could have afforded to keep the car I would have done so and just made it part of my collection and rarely driven it. It's a neat car for what it is, but the cost to use it for regular transportation is staggering. So the sign "Dead End" seems appropriate.

Some people keep them...
The experience of driving a well maintained V12 twin turbo is best described as "addictive"
I would like to get a copy of the registry,
If you are one of the lucky ones to own one of these fine cars... enjoy your car!

It does… the guys who take care of mine have customers who keep them… but they’re sadistic… or addicted… or both… the people who get paid to care for the cars can’t understand why they keep them… but to each… it’s all relative… new transmission, new coil packs, new ignition modules, on top of ABC woes, they don’t care.

I just bought an '06 S65 AMG from a good friend of mine. 22,698 original miles! I'm told there's only 1 out there with lower miles and I think I saw it posted for sale somewhere...7k original miles. My VIN ends in 80346. Do any of you know if this one is in the registry? I'd like to find a set of the OEM wheels. I know they don't come cheap. I also need to get the cloudy headlights addressed.

just found this thread and wanted to link a W220 S65 registry that I've started working on: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...aPw/edit#gid=0
I just collect the VINs and sort them by color spec, so I don't have nearly the detail of OP's registry... but I do have 290 of them!

I Own That
Gotcha, yea I can see this. Alex from the Legit Street Cars YouTube channel is currently working on the v12 from Hoovie's Garage CL65 AMG. What a lump!
I also just noticed this S65 AMG popped up on BaT.

Hey, that's my car! I have only put a few thousand miles on her, love her. AC dumped freon a couple of days ago, haven't tried to figure out what let go yet, and I twisted off an axle shaft when I first got her (I suspect the axle had a flaw in it, because it sheared off right where the splines end on the OB end of the axle where it appears to be case hardened). Other than that, everything still works as advertised. Makes me smile every time I drive her. Finally getting my C8 Z06, so I will probably be selling her soon.
