Changed oil, Now i have lifer tick. oil filter??
I have no idea if it will work on YOUR car......all I can tell you is that it worked on mine (and my wifes truck). So if it doesnt work you have bigger issues that will cost bigger $$$ (lifters) so a bottle of seafoam, oil and a filter along with 10 mins of your time is a helluva lot cheaper than the alternative but its your car and your call. The reason I asked about previous oil changes is that the filter is installed a SPECIFIC way using the two black lines on the filter (thats why they put them on there).....google it. In short MY suggestion (that has worked for me) is a correct MANN filter install and the seafoam additive.....you can remove the filter housing cap now and reseat your existing Mann filter then use the seafoam. If this doesnt work you may be SOL.....good luck...

There a a lot of rotating and reciprocating parts making noise under the hood unrelated to the valvetrain.
PZ Platinum Euro or the 0w-40 Viper spec is a top rate oil. A thicker oil may mask the normal valvetrain sounds a bit. MaxLife 10w-40 or any 15w-40 HD oil is a good bet unless it's cold.
