Brake pads. Akebono?

I need rear pads on my 2006 S65. I read some reviews for Akebono pads by guys with Bimmers and Benzes on Tire Rack and they all note the Akebonos don't have quite the stopping power. In other respects they're pretty good, it seems. But I am most concerned about braking power.

Any ideas on what other aftermarket brand of pads would provide the OEM stopping power? The dealer wants $292 for a set of rears, which actually doesn't sound that bad to me. But if I can get some of equal performance for under $250 I'd go for them.

As i know; "Akebono" is great for less dust, but not that strong stopping power compared to OEM's..!,

"EBC" pads are really great stopping power, but kinda noisy,,

Racing brakes would be a good choice, they got many kind of stopping power pads, depend of your using purpose..

Centric posi quiet pads work quite well and much less dust than OEM. Centric "OEM" style pads are just like OEM. Better bite but lots of orange dust. Aekbono pads have even less dust and the bite is very close to the higher end Centric.

I've used TRW pads in my S63 and E63 with great results. As good (or better) stopping power as stock, relatively low dust, and much cheaper than stock.
