Can I start my S55 lifted up in the air on jack stands?

Is it safe since it has the ABC system? Will it damage anything? I need to start my car to check for exhaust leaks since im having some bad smell after a hard run.
Please advise.

Thanks

Will be fine, just make sure all 4 wheels are off the ground. We run them on the lifts all the time.

When you set it down, it may be really low, as it will remove pressure from the struts while running with the wheels hanging down, but once you start it on the ground it will pump right back up.

Be mindful of it when you lower it off the stands though, you may have to put something under the wheels to hold it high enough to get your jack back out from under it, it will be very low.

Thank you very much for responding to my question! I will be using a "quickjack" lift.

How do you like the Quick Jack? Did u have to do anything to your floor to make sure it was strong enough?

i like it a lot. I just did the trans fluid change.
i bought the 7000xl model for the truck.
i had to use the tallest rubber block to lift. You won’t be able to lift on the factory round rubber jack points. The length of the quick jack is shorter. I had to lift close to the factory point.

Excellent.

Did you have to reinforce your concrete floor before installing the Quick Jack?

There is no need to do anything to the floor. This set up is a portable setup. Check youtube for Quickjack 7000xl truck series.
