2005 S55, what is the motor next to IC pump?
As I parked at work this morning, I noticed a fan or motor making noise even after the car was off. I came back 5 min later and it was still going. Crawled under the car and there is some motor, that kind of looks like a blower motor, spinning away and sounding more and more distressed. I felt around and it was scorching hot. I unplugged it right then.
I have no clue what this part is, so I couldn't search and didn't want to crawl around in the parking lot in nice clothes. It's behind the front bumper on the right side, immediately next to the intercooler pump. Any help?
No check engine light or other issues as far as how the car was running.

I crawled under the car and found a part number. Turned out to be the smog pump. Most likely the relay for the pump stuck on which resulted in it running constantly. I've left it unplugged for now since the pump is only for cold start emissions and I haven't gotten a CEL for it.
