Getting a used S65 AMG..Thoughts?

Hello Fellow enthusiasts,

I've always loved the S65 AMG, for as far back as i can recall and it's been my dream car, I'm finally in a place where i can afford a used one. I've been patiently waiting for the right model and I think I have found one, it's a 2012 S65 AMG with the driver's package, Designo interior. The cars only got 30,000 miles on it (49,000 kM). I wonder if it would be a good deal for me to get the car? I am aware of the cost of engine coils, spark plugs, however all of these come up after 100K miles? what else should I look out for?

Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Main things on those are what you listed already and the ABC suspension.

Plenty of solutions for ABC, it's not that expensive to go with something like arnott.

Are you a DIYer?

I was in the same boat 4 or so years ago. I went for it and bought a S65 and it was for sure the best decision I could have made. I love my S65 and every time I get to drive it it makes me happy.
Just go for it. You will not be disappointed.
Good luck
Johan

I have a 2012 S63 with the Performance Package and have owned it for four years (72k miles on it now). I usually get tired of cars after 3-4 years and move on to something else, but seriously, this car I absolutely love. It's been extremely reliable, with no unusual issues. I replaced the front rotors and pads at 70k miles. I found the front rotors (probably the same on the S65) online for $750 each, which is quite a bit less than the $1,200 each from the dealer. I used TRW pads for $200 that work as well or better than stock. Really, other than the brake rotors/pads, there haven't been any significant expenses. Just respect the service intervals, find an independent shop, and you'll really enjoy the speed and luxury of the car!

OP the 2012 will have all the updates done during the 221 chassis car's lifespan. Do it.
