2010 Mercedes s550
2010 s550 w221 programming issue

Hello I’m new here, a mobile key guy came to make me an extra key and messed up the coding on the car, now the lights and signals don’t work a whole bunch of lights are on the dash and the gauges don’t work, I brought a friend of a friend that used to work for Mercedes come out and he told me that it won’t let him enter the modules and it shows it’s in theft mode (but the car runs and drives), any help would be appreciated before I spend an arm and a leg at the dealership thank you all in advance

That does not make sense to me. Was the EIS removed when the friend made the key? If the Immobilizer was tripped, it would or start. And you could still communicate with the control units.

No this was done all obd I was watching him, he said he had an error and that’s when everything went haywire

Did he tap into other wiring in the vehicle or disconnect the ESL (electronic steering lock)? I assume an IR key was used to extract the EIS password?

Not sure but I was told the Sam coding is bad or the central gateway is bad I just don’t know how to go about it

All you would need to do is simply have them
both SCN coded and it will put them in their factory state.

I can but if you're far, then dealership, they might want to replace stuff just tell them you need a SCN or module update nothing more....
