PRE-SAVE INACTIVE - 2004 S55 AMG
In addition to my instrument cluster lights not working on my 2004 S55 AMG I got this message: PRE-SAVE INACTIVE
What does this mean? I have not been able to find it listed in the operator manual.
Thanks

Reset your Steering angle sensor.
Did you recently disconnect your battery or loose all power? If so, you need to reset your steering angle sensor by turning your car on, turning the steering wheel all the way left to the stop, and then all the way right to the stop.
That usually does the trick. If not, I am not sure what else.
Presafe senses out of control pre-crash movements and it prepares seats/seatbelts/headrests and moon roof. It uses steering angle as one of its inputs.
