Roadtrip!
Guys the roads are virtually empty except for the truckers! Fuel has not been this affordable in decades.
Trip to Arizona for me. Excellent opportunity to get some ya-ya's out.
The Waze app took me on a wild goose chase. I still prefer a good paper map!
After spending some time dragging the screen on the cell phone to see where Waze wanted to take me (Not going via Salt Lake City) I closed that app and chose my own.
HWY 93 drops you from Oregon into Nevada and most of the way to Vegas. Two lanes.
Excellent sight lines with many many 3-10 mile long straightaways on a nice road.
Saw total of three Staters who were not in radar traps for the whole stretch. Contrast with Oregon on Interstates who were thick as thieves.
Drive safe! Look out for critters and remember.... 1/2 tank of gas is 'empty' when wondering if you will make it 170 miles to that next gas station.
