2002 S55 AMG catless, x pipe, Brabus mufflers, coilovers, and driven like hell
My complete build log: 2002 S55 AMG 5.4 N/A

Hey everyone, I'm creating a build log for my car and will show as much as possible for the current progress, and future progress.

YouTube Link:

https://youtube.com/channel/UCOP1DY7dvBA6xV15rPExEMg

This is my 2002 S55 AMG, with the M113E55 5.4L N/A motor. 354HP 391ft-lb

040 Black

Bought at 100k miles with new radiator and freshly rebuilt trans for low price because it needed lots of maintenance.

As I create this thread, the car now sits at around 128k miles after about a year and a half of ownership, with most of the maintenance taken care of and some light modifications.

I love this car more than anything, I bought it as an AMG enthusiast at 20 for really cheap and to learn my way around every little detail about it. I wanted to be unique and start with something most people wouldn't.
Most people don't modify their S classes, plus this is a prefacelift W220 AMG, those get no love. Everyone says to supercharge it or M113K swap or just get an M113K car, but what's the fun in doing what everyone else does?

Once all is said and done, I want my engine bay to look completely stock, with the stock airbox.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to let me know.

Current modifications include:

Gutted Airbox with drop in filters
82mm Throttlebody
Full cat delete
X pipe
resonator delete
Brabus mufflers
Strutmaster Coilovers
Complete ABC system delete
Vtech Georgia Tuned TCU
VTech Georgia ECU tune

Next Mods:
Injectors
Long tube headers
3" exhaust with X pipe to Brabus Mufflers
New adjustable coilovers

129,408 miles: VTech Georgia tuned TCU/ECU

Update as of July 2021:

The car has been through a lot since the last update. It was crashed on April 10th and required pretty much a whole front end rebuild around 129,200 miles. The car sat for around a month and a half before it was drivable again.
Took me almost a month to get an oil pan and make sure the motor still ran. Pictures of the rebuild will be below.

Destroyed:

Fenders
Bumper
R Steering knuckle and hub
R Lower control arm
Both front wheels and tires
Oil pan
Radiator
A/C Condensor
Right headlight

The repair process:
