Help! S55 2003 KEY WONT TURN
my 2003 S55 AMG key wont turn after i ran inside house, this happened previously right after i got my tires changed. car completely dead no power, wont lock either ended up opening truck with metal key and unplugging the battery and waited a few minutes and plugged back in and the car turned on. However, tonight i tried again and it did not work completely dead after being parked a few minutes. new battery less than month old . i got in the car to turn on and noticed shifter moved while off than i moved it to park again and it locked so the car is disabled. Please help if you have ever seen. will upload video tomorrow

A couple of items suggested here... https://mbworld.org/forums/s55-amg-s...park-help.html
I would focus on the shift linkage and the neutral safety switch, since you say your shifter moved. Once you get it started you might head straight to the dealer and have them check the shift linkage. The NSS is cheap and they can throw one at it if you want. These car WILL NOT start if the car is not recognized to be securely in Park.
I had that once last week when I had a charging cord preventing the shifter from sitting completely securely in Park. Momentary panic set in...but it was operator error.

Update : came back to the car and tried unplugging the battery again and let it sit for longer and than put the positive terminal back on and the car powered up and let me start it up . will take to dealer for new battery terminals noticed some corrosion on the negative from previous owner.
