Exhaust sound on cold start up faded after battery replacement.

Exhaust sound on cold start up faded after battery replacement.

2011 S63, So I replaced my battery , before that the voltage dropped down drastically, I had a couple of warning lights like SRS which went away after a while, the only thing that is still unchanged, is on cold startup the car no longer has this high exhaust rumble which used to last about a minute or so, till the idle drops , also the high idle is much shorter now like only 20 secs tops, don't care much about the sound as long as I know nothing is wrong and it's not damaging the cats or O2 sensors and what not, thanks for any input.

hmmm, I wonder if there a soft code stored, did your scanner find anything in particular?

had the exact situation with my S55 , turned out the ERG valve had code , dont remember exactly now what was the core number .. scan the car with DAS and u will find some codes stored , erase them and you will be good to go.

No codes stored, using an above average OBDII scanner. I am hoping this will resolve itself in time, I started it this morning (after 48 hours sitting) and it was fine for about 15-20 seconds then dropped down to normal idle, just seems too quick for or maybe now I'm obsessed lol< I just wnna know that nothing is being damaged and I'm ok with it.

i dont think that something is damage , if my memory serves me correctly , any stored codes which is no longer present , will delete it self after a few times of the ECU cheching to find its negative ... which means if u do apslotly nothing for sometime , the ECU will delete those codes which appeared at the time which the batery was weak and now they are fine .
