2007 S65 Locked out of car while running!!! Cannot open from outside with keyfob
Guys I have two issues:
1. The car used to unlock when I have the key in my pocket and when I pull the door handle, it used to unlock automatically. This is while the car is off. Now it does not do that anymore.
2. While the car is running and in the park, as soon as I walk out and close the door, the car automatically locks!!! - I cannot open it by clicking the key fob. Also, I cannot open it with the mechanical key. I turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and pull the handle multiple times, but the car does not unlock. I had to get it unlocked by calling AAA and pay 90 bucks - then I got these and left them in the trunk:

But when you try, please make sure someone is inside the car. Basically, the car is running. Walk out of the car with the key and close the door. The door will lock and then try to unlock it with the key. Please let me know, if it works for you.

The car was off.
But, almost daily I get out when the car is running when I drop my kid off at school. I leave the car running and close the door when I exit the car and go to the back to retrieve my child from the child seat.
I have an update now, the problem is still there but it is identified exactly
1. The car is ON basically running, or the gear is in Park, Engine is off but the Radio is still on.
2. When I open the driver door with door handle, the tab on the door does not pop up, including other doors
3. Exit the car and close the door, since the tabs are not popped, basically the car is locked. I cannot then open the door with key any more, remote also does not work
4. Before exiting the car, if I unlock using the unlock button, the car always unlocks and i can get out, then with remote I can lock and unlock without any problems
Also, the car stopped unlocking with the keyfob in pocket, I can no longer pull the door handle and unlock the car. I always have to push the remote button to unlock.
Looks like the whole door actuator needs to be replaced. For now I will use WD-40 Dry Lube and see if it improves. But I can tell you the auto unlock is no longer is working when the key is near by.
The car does not shut off - meaning the Radio does not turn off and "Do not forget Key" message does not come up. I have to lock, unlock - open and close the door few times before the car shuts down.
when I unlock the door with the door latch handle - the door opens up but the pull tab does not pop up at all. The door soft close is also not working.
Could it be vacuum line related and not the actual lock mechanism?
