Extended warranty
A question about the MB extended warranty. I intended to put lots of miles on my car. I'm curious to know what folks think of the extended warranty and how much it would cost. It seems to me to be a 'must have' but this is my first MB.

Yes, I aim to keep it for 5 years, and maybe more. Mileage wise I'll certainly exceed the original warranty.

There is no requirement that you need to buy it from your selling dealer.
You can probably save 15%-20% or so by shopping around. If you buy it across state lines, you also save your home state's sales tax.
There's a Forum (sub Forum - under the Technical Forum) that has loads of info and recommendations for dealers who sell by phone with substantial discounts.
I've also just today posted the MSRP of the various ELW combinations there.

It might also be interesting information for all AMG model buyers to note that the price for the 7/75 ELW warranty has increased, in the last 3 years (2013 price list compared to the 2016 list), by 91% (Not a typo).
You can all draw you own conclusions as to why MB felt that this kind of price increase was needed...

Regarding MB extended, I'm not sure they cover struts anymore. If not go elsewhere. My easycare warranties covered triple the cost on last two cars. Easycare was great because it covered wheels and tires, usually a 1000$ cost for 3 years.

Here are the two leading sales people that everyone likes in these forums. (Their names keep on coming up over and over again as very helpful and competitive) I got quotes from both and both were very nice to deal with and much cheaper than everyone else.

'17 S65 Cab - Emerald Green
Cassandra handled my 3 yr extension for 17 S65 cab to 7/100 for 6600. I did not seek other quotes but the Miami dealer had told me previously that the cost for a 16 S65 coupe would be around 8500. Cassandra was a delight to work with and made the process smooth and easy. Thanks to all for the first win from MB World membership.

I picked up a CPO '17 E43 AMG and opted to buy the additional 2yr ELW from MB for $3895 (originally quoted around ~$4,800). That gave me a total of 7yr/unlimited mileage warranty with $0 deductible. Knowing how expensive these cars are to repair, I think it was a win especially to get it with unlimited mileage.

Wow this thread is long ..... I didn't see a static page with contacts so I searched through and saw a few contacts.
I have a 2019 GLC300 4matic, I bought the service plan from MB a smaller dealer gave me a discount and now I am looking at getting the 7/75 or something like a 10/100... I don't drive much so it will hit the years before miles !!
Let me know if any other dealers are offering good deals for MB warranty plans !!

Anyone have a good contact for MB warranties other than Jeff, just trying to shop the prices. BTW MB comes with a 4 year warranty, so buying the 3 extra years seems a bit pricey when it's adds up to about 675 a year x 3 years ?
