2015 command internet
I have a 15, and the internet wont work on any of its functions. I went to dealer and they worked it for hours. they say mb told them it works on 2g and none of them work anymore. There isnt any fix. Does anybody with 15, 16 have this trouble

so after 2 months, it started working, somewhat slow at times. 2 yellow arrows come on in the upper right side of screen and it is working.

I have it working now. This seems to be the answer. The car does not receive the internet signal. The phone is doing the connecting. It all goes thru the phone and is connected by bluetooth, or tether USB to the car.
You start by connecting the phone by dedicated bluetooth to the car.
Go to worldO then pull back dial, go to Settings, check the Wifi Sharing box.
There may be some key code to copy or not. The phone will show the MBxxx name on the wifi connection when it is in the car. and go to back to others when the car is turned off. It has to show the MB on the wifi connection.
THIS will cause the internet to connect, MB Plus and get the MB apps It hesitates some times. And is slow to load and start at some times. It seems to connect well when you have a strong +5 bar phone signal. But stays on after the signal weakens.
Then to get wifi hot spot go to VEHICLE then pull down to System Settings, then go to Easy connect with key (something like that, its too convoluted to remember That's why MB is a pain in the as)
And it gives you a code key to put on your phone during the process. Go to your phone settings, and Connections, and there will be a mobile hotspot or tethering choice, and you will enter the code key at that point between the 2.
Then the mobile hotspot will appear when you want to accurate it.
Mbrace or MB dealer do not know how to make this work. They claim the 15, 16 are too old and it wont work on anything under 17.

Good to hear that it works for the pre-facelifted cars (COMAND 5*2). The newer cars have less luck: now official statement van MB that online browsing is permanently disable (also message on screen: "online browsing service is discontinued, we are sorry for any incovenience". Unbelievable..............

have only tried a couple www searches but both came up. First I am experimenting with just the mb apps, and they are becoming more consistent.
Tha dealer says all the newer 17 up cars work alot better, and they didnt give any complaints. I don't know if they are using the search.
