2020 S560,14 ml350, 03 sl55, silver, pano, slr cams, evo headers, lsd, 2019 s63 cab.
Radar detector location
S560 sedan has easy to see location for radar detector in windshield, but i can see any particular location in s63 cab windshield?
it has original heated windshield. I looked at in sunlight every which way but the doesn’t seem to be a designated spot?

OP in the days of old we could purchase a direct replacement rear view mirror equipped with the arrows for a Valentine One radar detector. It made use of a remote that did the sensing. If still available with latest circuitry this would be the cat’s pajamas.

Go to Vortex site for some info. Vortex did a test placing latest V1 in my S63 and driving by trying to detect it - nothing. While latest V1 has a better shielding, the reason was due to shielding in S class glass. S class has heavily shielded glass, even in the areas that supposed to be transparent that caused a lot of challenge for even GPS signal while installing RC-M. The only place that worked well was next to the rain sensors.

Tried a older solo s3 escort. It gies off with radar but it doesn’t have power for long distance. Put it down center above dash. Was wondering about get new unit but haven’t committed. Friend says valentine gen 2 is best. Still undecided.

I have a old passport max 2. I've had for 10 years. it works great for radar.
its slow for laser but it works for that too. You can buy them for 100 on ebay
