Swarovski lamp malfunction

Hello,

One of the Swarovski LED crystals in the daytime running lamp in my 2020 s63 coupe has stopped working. Please see the image below.

It is very expensive to replace the whole unit so I am wondering if anyone has some advice of other options/ solutions I might look into to solve the issue. Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Rune

Not good

I can tell you for 100% sure that you couldn’t replace that entire lamp unit if you wanted to. None exist and MB has no plans to rectify that situation. I needed one for a 2019 S65 coupe. Probably the single thing about this car that irks me the most. Keeping me from buying another MB although other manufacturers maybe equally bad?

Sadly might have to try the junk yard and see if you get a working unit, or some other market place for a used unit.

Hello and thank you for your reply.

I forgot to mention that I live in Europe. I have got an offer from a local official Mercedes dealer and was told they have several in stock in Stuttgart. But very expensive. Could it be that they don't have any for the American markets as the lamps differs somewhat from the European version? I have seen they have this visible yellow/ orange part inside the US version of the lamps.

Good to know the European version of the headlights is available. As a worst case scenario a US owner could install the European headlights version as a last resort and have them coded to activate ILS plus. Probably cooler than the US version anyways.

I hate that amber reflector mentioned, the EU ones are way cleaner.

What’s the possibility of opening it up and replacing the led chip? Have you looked into this?

This might need to be one of those "I'll just live with it" scenarios...

European and other areas outside of North America have the really cool blue eyebrow effect on the headlights. Not legal in the US so we don't get those.
