2015 S63 won't do better then 4.8 0-60
Maybe they know how to launch it better
put the car in dyno mode and try again with a brake stall of 2500-3000

Had the S63 rental for 2 separate weeks (and 2 different cars) and each time was very disappointed with performance.
Driving S8 Plus now and I don't feel any difference in power vs my E63, could not be happier.

S63, beside transmission being a bit disappointing, is a high performance limo, comfort vs S8 Plus is on a much higher level, especially in the back seat and overwhelms S8 in tech, Audi really needs an update, it's tech is at least 5 years behind.
I'm not a tech junkie, don't care about the gizmos, don't carry more then 1 passenger so decided to go for "driver experience".
Although, if had a need to have more then 1 passenger even occasionally, S63 would be definitely my choice.
Launch control was probably removed because of the additional torque output on the S63 which may harm the transmission. This is why i think its risky to use launch control feature on a tuned E63 putting out over 700 wtq.
Despite having the 7g-MCT, the S63 (sedan and coupe) lack launch control. AMG deliberately left this feature out for some reason, as other models with an identical drivetrain i.e. CLS63 and E63 do have it.
I would think launch control can be emulated to some degree by enabling dyno mode (to turn off ECT), then starting the car, enabling S mode, and brake torquing to maybe 2000 rpm.

oh did you notice they are now advertising the new S63 at 0-60 in 3.4, don't hold your breath!!

Mercedes MCT transmission slow launch, acceleration lag can possibly be helped
