Why My $177,000 S63's Brakes Squeal?
Why my $177,000 2015 S63 Coupe the German sports-car maker's top-of-the-line, crazy expensive and possessed of one quality that drove everybody who rode in the machine absolutely nuts. Why is the $10,000 carbon ceramic brakes squealed like a poorly maintained diesel city bus?
And how can I fix that? Dealer said it is normal for that type of breaks. Is that possible?

Others reported this removed the squeak
But I thought the newer gen CCBs didn't have this problem anymore

Incredible that Benz has to make an open TSB/recall for performance brakes squealing.. This is why they shouldnt offer these packages without educating their buyers. Race pad material and CCBs are prone to squeal especially when cold. Its nature of the beast.

We have XT910 compound well tested on Carbon Ceramic Brakes, good stopping, no squeak. Although the pad shape for CCM may need to be tooled.
