2014 S63 Premature Rear Rotor Wear.....
Hello Everyone,
I owned a few vehicles in my time and never had this happened to me before. Two weeks ago I took my S63 for service B, and I've been told that rear break rotors & pads wore out at 17k miles, $3100.00 to replace them, i told them not to do it & asked them to get me rotor factory specs & measured specs, (it took them two weeks to get me the specs)....little back history, ever since i bought the car, brakes were squeaking and took it the service for this very same reason, i been told that its a race car it is quite normal, now they forgot, what they told me and telling me that squeaking is the indication for wear...
, this car is my daily driver, I don't race with it, don't take it to track..., just regular driving, 22 mile daily commute from home to work, work to home.
So, anyone here at the forum, can educate me, if this "RACE CAR", is capable of wearing REAR rotors and pads at 17k, is this a norm for AMG vehicles, any input would be very helpful.
Thank you in advance.

I would say that is not normal(I wonder what the front's look like), however the repair is a moot issue---I think at this point I would be very concerned at what caused the excessive wear before I took my wifes credit card away for a couple of days!!
