New to owning Mercedes......I have a 2014 S63 AMG....The eyebrow light on the passenger side is out, then I noticed the drivers side regular headlight is out.....Took it to Mercedes and the advised me that there is a short in the passenger side headlight that is also affecting the drivers side head light. They recommend that I replace the Right head Light assembly @ $3200.00.....I damn near fell out of my seat....I am going to replace this with a used head light, but they all come as a "shell". Can someone tell me what else comes with the Right head light assembly?

Hi, you will need two ballast/module for the headlights. Most headlights you saw are only for the shell are because either the ballast/module went bad or they took off and sell them separately to get more money. This one should come with everything:

It's a $175,000 car. Not sure why the price is unexpected. Proportionally to the cost of the car it's actually rather low if you think about it. Some Benz headlights are almost 2x that cost with the associated modules.

FYI headlight replacement on these vehicles requires programming for them to function properly

At that price. I would just do the face lift headlights? If you find a used headlights (shell) only. You can just transfer your old ballast over to the new if their still good.

If you have night vision , your headlight is gonna have Infra Red light option , new each headlight was like 5200. They also do the Spotlight option , not sure if that’s software but there are different types of headlights

I’m no expert, just know there are night vision and non night vision units. Which do you have? then go from there.

Don't waste your money on anything but OEM. They will NOT work longterm

These headlight need 2018 and up front bumper, if you want to do the conversion and you don't have the "night vision" on your stock headlights, these headlights will work for you and also
with the ballast ready.
But if you only like to replace the headlights without the 2018+ conversion, this headlights should work for you (without night vision include ballast):
