Buying '17 S63 cab 130 edition - questions!

Hey all!

I just pulled the trigger to buy a new car for the stable. 2017 S63 cab, 130 edition. From what I understand, this edition is fully optioned. Beautiful car, can't wait to get it!

A few questions:

-Does anyone know if the 130 edition comes with carbon ceramic brakes? I have them on my McLaren and one of my 911s. Squeaky, but I love them.

-Has anyone put in the Renntech ECU+ tune to get to 669HP / 734lb-ft? Does it make a noticeable difference? I put the same tune in my 2015 E63 and it is a BEAST, but the S63 is also 800 lbs heavier...

-Does anyone use this car as daily driver in northern climates? I'm going to get studded snow tires for our Vermont winters, and I know the cabin will be quiet, but how well does it insulate?

-I have the warmth package, with the additional heated steering wheel and armrests. With the air cap up, and the air scarf blowing, what is the lowest temperature I can expect to comfortably keep the top down?

Anything else I need to know about this beautiful beast?

Thanks in advance!

So you are going to buy a Cabriolet to DD in Vermont? The Carbon breaks won’t be the only thing squeaking. I would go for the sedan instead.

What an odd thing to comment, since he already bought it! In any case, congrats!!! Never heard of this edition. Can you post some pics? My buddy just got a white with black top and black interior 2017 S560 Convertible and LOVES it. It's the only color combo he would buy and he found one within a few days of looking.

EDIT: I just googled it and watched all 3 you tube reviews... just, WOW!!!! Nice car.

I'm a ragtop guy! I'm hoping that the triple layered top and double pane windows will be enough to keep the heat in during Jan-Feb.

By the way, my son goes to Skidmore. We're in Saratoga Springs all the time - we always take one of the suites at the Adelphi with the outdoor decks overlooking the street. Let me know if you want to meet for a beer one day!

Thanks. Its a beautiful car, and the 130 edition, while not particularly collectible, does have the advantage of having every possible option under the sun - including the warmth and comfort package. I'm hoping this will allow us to enjoy the top down during foliage season and beyond...

That was my main concern to be honest was the rag top having enough insulation for those cold winters. I know the ragtops have come along way over the years.

Skidmore is a great school. I have ate at the Adelphi once before and frequent Saratoga often. Not as much this year however. I will send you a PM with my cell number.

My main concern was the insulation of the soft top in northern climates. Would not want to feel uncomfortable in a car this beautiful. Also, we have very rough roads here and the soft top takes away from a rigid chassis. So that was my other concern.
