Hi S, you are correct. The tufted leather (with leather covered buttons and side seam pinking/perforations) was only available on the non-AMGs. The non-AMG Semi-aniline's more decorative and luxurious seat patterning would be inconsistent with the more sporting nature of the AMGs. So unfortunately it was not available on the S63/65s. Additionally, the Deep Sea Blue option does not include the contrasting color armrests as in the Titanium Grey and Satin Red Pearl versions. This ensures that the plastic switchgear plates on the door armrests, which are Silk Beige, matches the Silk Beige of the door armrests, versus looking out of place.

Thanks Steve. Yes, luckily I was able purchased this car for less than half the MSRP--it had 50K miles on it. It does have a two year extended MB warranty. It was in exceptionally good condition. I typically gauge the condition and prior life of the car not just by mechanicals but on the cleanliness (no dirt or shine) of the steering wheel, especially one that is Silk Biege.
The car rides very well--smooth yet firm in Comfort mode. I think the new Range Rover, which I drove at the Land Rover Driving School in Vermont has a great supple ride and hallmark regal seating position--but it is no where as sporty. I will say that sometimes the S63's wet clutch transmission is a bit unrefined. It feels as if it balks under very light throttle either at low speeds or at a steady 65 mph cruise. I did have a transmission service and PPI performed at my local MB store and the master tech said that it was typical for a car that wants to be driven fast and hard. No other call outs from the inspection.
I will post any other observations as I continue to drive and explore the car's capabilities. You thoughts on yours?

I just bought my S63. They quoted me close to 11K for the Continental Warranty. Glad you found it valuable, and based on how long you plan to keep the car it was a good choice. I'm going to take a couple weeks to decide about a warranty. 2018 S63 37K miles. Thanks for the heads up about not buying a car with the alcantara steering wheel.
