I don't see how motoring could get any better than your car. The newer ones don't look as good, inside or out in my opinion. Your MSRP is crazy high. Mine is $3k less. Nicely done!!! What do you think so far? Other than a Rolls or Bentley, what is as good as this?
Thanks Steve. Yes, luckily I was able purchased this car for less than half the MSRP--it had 50K miles on it. It does have a two year extended MB warranty. It was in exceptionally good condition. I typically gauge the condition and prior life of the car not just by mechanicals but on the cleanliness (no dirt or shine) of the steering wheel, especially one that is Silk Biege.
The car rides very well--smooth yet firm in Comfort mode. I think the new Range Rover, which I drove at the Land Rover Driving School in Vermont has a great supple ride and hallmark regal seating position--but it is no where as sporty. I will say that sometimes the S63's wet clutch transmission is a bit unrefined. It feels as if it balks under very light throttle either at low speeds or at a steady 65 mph cruise. I did have a transmission service and PPI performed at my local MB store and the master tech said that it was typical for a car that wants to be driven fast and hard. No other call outs from the inspection.
I will post any other observations as I continue to drive and explore the car's capabilities. You thoughts on yours?
My thoughts on my car? I bought a 10 year, 100000 warranty, that says a lot. I plan on never replacing it as nothing could replace this car in the future. I love every angle of it, just took it on a 250 roundtrip drive to Bedford Spring Omni Resort yesterday in PA, it was amazing. I don't drive it much since getting my new tiny little car, but when I do, when I need room for 4 people, my friends and family LOVE sitting in this car. Best car ever for under $200k.
Love your 992. I had a 993 Turbo. Sold to a collector in Spain. It was (like you say) an extremely tiny car compared to my S, RR, and 600. I could open the passenger's door from the driver's seat. =)
I was just down in Baltimore, DC, and Gettysburg (see original pics) a week ago. I was surprised that I was able to average 24 mpg during the trip's 748 miles.

Continental. I bought it when I bought the car since I knew I'd keep it forever. My MB dealer highly suggested it, and they sold it to me. I even haul my 2 bikes on the car, this car is amazing.
Your car is a true stunner!!! Quick question for you about your build sheet. It doesn't say "Warmth and Comfort Package" but you have a ton of other options for seating added. Do the armrest heat up on your car?? Just curious.

Hi, good eye. Despite all the seat options I do not have heated armrests nor steering wheel. I have heated steering wheels on other cars and avoid using that feature. It tends to make the leather shiny and slick. I like my leather matte finished and tactile.
What an Awesome good looking car. With these spec's, I would gladly say, there is finally one car I saw on this forum that in my view is better equipped than my previous W222, yet this is the AMG. I know this is not the semi-aniline cabin which I prefer, but this color and leather option looks sooooo good. I love the two tone color interior. Enjoy!
Hi, thanks for the compliment. I was told that the interior was semi-aniline as stated in the 2018 DOG for the S-class.
Interesting. Perhaps the full Maybach style Semi-aniline is only available for the S560 and S560 Maybach. There is another level of interior cabin with Semi-aniline that adds buttons and diamond stitching to the seats, as well as diamond stitching on the arm-resets and also the front dashboard, It also adds some perforation and decoration to the side of the seats near the seam and also some stitching lines on the dashboard and doors. I think the AMG line still has the semi-aniline as a leather but not all the touches of the full semi-aniline cabin. U r right, the one you have as the highest one can get on the S63 as far as semi-aniline. Still sooooooooooooooo much better than nappa or nappa exclusive. The semi-aniline leather is truly awesome and well worth the price. The touch and color richness looks good, and leather with the right treatment would never look shiny or oily.
Hi S, you are correct. The tufted leather (with leather covered buttons and side seam pinking/perforations) was only available on the non-AMGs. The non-AMG Semi-aniline's more decorative and luxurious seat patterning would be inconsistent with the more sporting nature of the AMGs. So unfortunately it was not available on the S63/65s. Additionally, the Deep Sea Blue option does not include the contrasting color armrests as in the Titanium Grey and Satin Red Pearl versions. This ensures that the plastic switchgear plates on the door armrests, which are Silk Beige, matches the Silk Beige of the door armrests, versus looking out of place.
