For those that have swapped an AGM battery, what brand/model did you use? Did you try the car before coding, what was the experience? What does the coding do? For those who did code, did you have the battery ready in the car before you received the hardware to code or did you do it after? Just looking for a concise way to replace my bad battery. Would love the experience from start to finish of both those who coded and those who didnt (if any).
I took the LiON battery out, put the AGM in and then the Ninja did the coding to tell the car's charging system to use the AGM profile and not LiON.
Has been flawless and I would recommend this to anyone.
Will have another mod that I worked with the Njnja on shortly. Just need to test it out tonite before the cat leaves the bag ;-)

What size battery?
Before you spend $2000 on a new Lithium Ion battery consider this. For that same $2k you could buy the
Benz Ninja suite that includes
A dedicated laptop
Benz communication link and cables
With dealer level programming and diagnostics capabilities
And a new top line AGM Battery.
That's what I did. And couldn't be more happy with the results of no battery warnings, not being held hostage by the stealership for a battery that is UNAVAILABLE and STUPID expensive.

Wow, all these months later and there are still no Li-Ion batteries available? Wow. I have to wonder what the average S Class owner is doing while their car sits, dead, for months on end, on the dealer back lot.

AFAIK the Lion batteries are available again. The parts guy at my dealer could have ordered one when I got the AGM from him, for 1k more.
Totally happy here with the Benz Ninja AGM conversion though, even if the car gained 25lbs in the process.

$1000 for 25 lbs, more of a reason for me to get my *** back on track to lose a few lbs to make up the difference. TripleDown, do you have the AGM part number handy for reference?

Anyone ever try the powertex lithium battery?
anyone give this company a try as a replacement to own Mercedes battery? If so, any issues? Just plug and play?
My battery is dead. I prepaid for a new one 2 months ago almost $2000.00 from Merceedes A000 982 9008 is the replacement original is A001 982 9008. I have been emailing with no luck on status. Today I get a call from Merceedes (after I filed a complaint) that the replacement battery is on a permanent hold and it will be months before I can get an update. I asked like 2 more and she responded probably much longer! Does anyone know an alternative or work around? Thank you in advance

there is NO solution without coding
and as far as we have to migrations a aftermarket lithium gives trouble
best way is just a AGM 90Ah+

I was just mentioning this issue to someone yesterday and thought I'd check in for updates. STILL NO BATTERIES?!? That's mind-boggling. Where's the class action suit.
