Hello all ,
first post and excited to share progress. I took my 2014 s63 amg to get it dyno’d. I wanted to see how much power it is pushing. I was able to get it into dyno mode but I can’t give it full throttle. After 4000 rpm the car’s front wheels started to move a little. Is there a way to completely disable the front wheel! It was an unlinked AWD dyno.

Hello, I believe there’s no way to disconnect the front wheels. To my understanding only the newer cars with 4 matic+ are capable of doing that.
I have been to one dyno. It was an unlinked dyno. Got the car in dyno mode, had no issues with any of the pulls. Had three to four pulls total. I got an extra pull due to the operator took it out of manual mode and went into sport mode and the car down shifted. Lol. Other facility's that I have contacted have wanted to remove the front driveshaft. I do not want them taking apart the car. So, I declined those shops. I have found a German shop that has an AWD dyno. However, my work schedule is not allowing me to get over there. I have called the facility, and they are only open Monday through Friday, and the dyno is by appointment only. They have done some Benz's, however when I stopped by there the parking lot was of BMW's, some with engines out.
Yeah you’re spot on, I was thinking the same thing. I think if I were to get into the fuse box, I could turn it off but I mean… at that point… is it even worth it? I will need to figure out why my front wheels want to spin
Mine was unlinked also! I was on manual 3k rpm and went to 6500 rpm then shifted up and the front wheels somewhat spinned 90 degrees. So I let go of the acceleration and downshifted slowly. I don’t know what caused it but the main guy was worried about the car’s transfer case. I need to do some research before I go back next week. I really want to see my max power and see how I can increase it. If I know a number, I know what my baseline is
