S65 Insane Brake Squeal (with a twist)
I know there have been numerous conversations about AMG brakes squealing like an old city bus. Same thing here, with a twist - see the highlight below.
Things I've tried:
- Brand new OEM pads and rotors all around.
- Bedding them in properly.
- Sequences of hard stops 60-0.
What I haven't tried, but would like your opinion on:
- Any aftermarket pads that don't squeal?
- Installing brake rotors and pads from a non-AMG W222?
For additional context, I live in a downtown Toronto condo and cannot work on the car myself. Literally had security walk up to me and ask me to stop when I jacked it up in my parking spot one time

To be clear, I'd like the brake squeal gone without much regard to top braking performance - it's not like I'm going to track this thing. I love the car otherwise, but the brake squeal is driving me nuts.
it's pretty much Hawk HPS for like $50 and not $200.
The metal pads are just loud. There is nothing you can really do except drive with them hot and stop hard at all times. The pad material is flattened when hot, but bumpy when cold and you get those loud embarassing stops unless you lay into them late and firmly all the time. This is going back to the 2000's MB's where I can confirm this all the way to the newest S63 and E63 I have in the shop
