Feedback please: Looking at 19 S650 sedan
Gorgeous 19 S650 sedan with less than 9000 miles. Curious what to watch out for on this 12cyl biurbo.
* low mileage
* all service checks out.
Havent looked at Merc in awhile. Sure loving this car. Would be a daily.
Thoughts?

The Maybach S650 is a great value right now. Should be half of retail if not less but with those miles maybe not. It is the pinnacle of MB design but also 5 years old at this point. with only 9K miles I would be looking at all hoses and soft materials on the car as this stuff deteriorates when it just sits. Not sure why the mileage is so low but that could be a little bit of a concern as modern cars like to be driven and brought up to temp on a routine basis. Good luck with the purchase. Pics if you get it!

A nice S580 loaded up after lease is probably the smart option. Just like the generation of the S560 for that classic estate look and feel. Kind of the last era before all the glitz and plastics of in-your-face-computers.

V-8 drives, feels, sounds very different from V-12 powered car. V-12 powered cars get all the bells and whistles that when added to the bent 12 power train make a truly special car.

It's in Bellevue, where I live. Let me know if you want me to go check it out for you. My only concern would be the wheels, those do not look like genuine Brabus wheels, and I am not sure that car came with the Brabus badging. If they are cheap knock offs that will be a problem as this is a very heavy car that will completely destroy cast alloy 22" wheels. Other than that, looks like a great deal for the car. Not sure why anyone would put ebay Brabus badges on a 200K+ car but it does not look OEM. Openroad is a newer dealership out of Vancouver Canada but they seem to have a ton of high end cars.

Here's the listing for those wheels on Ebay: Brabus Style Wheels

My guess is the car came with the Chrome or Black Chrome Maybach 20" wheels and they were either curbed to death or the previous owner wanted something bigger and threw on the chinese Brabus package for a few grand worth of wheels and badges. Not a fan of the badges everywhere but it is a beautiful car and well optioned. If you want a Rolls Royce caliber whip, for half the money, this is it.

Lovely car OP.....
Big wheels with short sidewalls will make for more harshness over bumps and potential for pinched sidewalls/bent wheels should you encounter any pothole with less than 45lbs of pressure in the tires.
Magic Body Control will help...
Be sure it gets a proper pre-purchase inspection and get a VMI from the MB dealership.

Thanks guys. Got lost in work travel and circled back. Dissappointed in the wheels. Thought they were true Brabus. Not sure I want to mess with different diameter wheels and thinner side walls other than OEM. Not on this car anyway.
Funny, I sent the vin to givemerhevin.com to get a sale quote. They wont give me one. LOL! Never tried that, but thought I would see.
Thanks for local check in. Im making some financial moves that will determine how serious I get on this. It sure is a great looking car.

OP give it a set of S65 20” wheels. More sidewall protecting the wheel and several choices for wheels. Find a used set. They are available.
You will love the car.

The S65 market is tough. All awesome cars holding strong value. Have saved all coupes & convertibles and would settle for a 560 convertible. I believe there are great cars to come, but these will forever be among the best of an era. V12 Bi turbo is pure art. V8 Bi turbo isnt to far behind either. Still on the hunt for a Maybach. Got 2 w/ lighter interior. Many on market have damage on car fax. None are CPO?
