I have no idea what they mean by "unlimited mile and time warranty". Those terms need to be spelled out explicitly by the dealer. There is no such thing a warranty that lasts forever. if it existed, and only gost $5K, everybody would buy that warranty. I'd buy it for $15K if it was real. Get the details about what is covered, and the time and mileage limits. Then call your favorite indy shops, and the dealer to see if they work with that warranty company on claims. Most wont, but some will. Then read the warranty paperwork for what is actually covered. Is it just powertrain? If more, then are things like gaskets and seals protected? Then, what about suspension, specifically air suspension? And what is their max labor rate they cover? All important pieces to the puzzle.
Having said that...Nice car!!

Imo,mb has best service and loaner cars which make it easier.
I always push everyone for warranty when owning a mb. In my experience, i baby my car and dont take the master techs recommendations of driving car hard. I dont want to risk tickets and dont like beating on cars especially from a standstill.
i find this car slow. So whats the point?
I bought for comfort and it serves it well.
I bought at 10k miles and have had 45k of warranty work done so far. Its a ticking time bomb. Every 10k something goes wrong.
big issues or replacements have been transmission at 30k miles, both active headlight modules. This wk having front struts replaced due to noise when going over wide speed bumps.
New rotors with new pads not only run 6.5k for just front but squeaking noise is known issue and no known fixes. Pretty embarassing and not acceptable for a car that once retailed for 185k.
other small issues but too long to list
point is all was covered under warranty. Get one and make sure it has zero deductible and covers everything.

You've had terrible luck with your car. Even if covered by warranty, that's a lot of downtime and a lot of screws turned on your car, far more than normal. Maybe you should reconsider the part about occassionally opening up the taps and letting the car breathe. Lubrication only happens when things are moving, and the faster things move the more lubrication happens, up to a point. Over the previous month I hadn't been driving my car much, hardly at all. Then I got a light squeak like you're describing when going over long speed bumps. After a couple relatively long drives it went away. I've taken the car in 2X to get it diagnosed, but I can't get the car to replicate the noise. My assumption was control arm, not strut, mainly because it only happened in one direction - down. But who knows??? I'm sorry your car has had so many troubles. I've only had my 18 S63 44K miles for a year, and sincerely hope to have a better experience than you.
You might also want to look at the options from another company to see if you can get better pricing. Glad you're completely covered, lots to be said for that

That strut sound/moan is something many have reported, Mine has done it for over a year but only on a certain kind of bump and only on the driver's side. Sounds like the mount as I've had this on other cars before. Other than that it tracks and drives perfectly. For me - it can wait. My mechanic loves to say "cars make noise" when people complain about non-critical noises and he's right - they do make all kinds of sounds. Not every one requires an immediate parts cannon approach.
Change all the fluids regularly and it should serve you well for a long time.
