2019 S63 T-Boned, Thoughts?

My old S600 was a W220, probably the worst generation of S-Class ever. I had several friends who had them and we all had problems. I remember selling my set of aftermarket wheels to a friend with an S430. He immedeately complained that they were bent. But they were less than 6 months old when I sold them and I couldn't feel anything. I guess the hydraulic suspension that I had in the S600 hid any problems. Something the suspension in his car couldn't overcome. It was $13K just in repairs, of which close to $4K for suspension alone, then another $4K on regualr maintenance. That was too steep for that point in time. I had several other cars that didn't even approach 10% of that cost in maintenance or repairs. Yes, the V8 was silky smooth and extremely powerful, and the car was a beauty, but too costly. And like Vanquish said, I like my S63 better in EVERY way.
222 S-65 is very sporting. Different from S-63. S-63 will beat me to 30mph but I’ll be 15mph faster by the end of the freeway on-ramp. I’ve done the direct comparison. Maybach is a different animal altogether. They can be had with the 279 bent-12 but the car; while fast isn’t about tearing it up. It is about quiet and smooth which it does well. I’ve driven several AMG GT’s. They go good. Very different animal than S-Class. Smaller inside. SLS is made of unobtanium. God bless you if you can do that.

279 V-12 we find in the 222 cars now has individual ignition coils (one coil fires a pair of plugs). I have got to replace a total of one ignition coil in my car. 160,000 miles.
The engine is wonderful. Rest of car is also much improved. Less babysitting.
